W.H.O.A. (Western Horses of Oregon Association) provides safe and reliable horses, personnel, tack, equipment and livestock for movies, television, commercial video and still advertising. We perform stunts and equine choreography with a wide array of equine breeds, covering many disciplines and genres. We also provide on location training, pre/post production consultation and equine/script interface. WHOA LLC is licensed in Oregon and provides these services throughout the state.
All horses and other livestock are cared for and maintained diligently before, during and after daily shooting calls. During all phases of production, we at WHOA work hard at maintaining rigid safety standards of performance for our customers and contractors. We subscribe to and exceed all Humane Society rules and regulations.
W.H.O.A. staff is constantly striving to improve our source pool of skilled contractors by regularly auditioning new talent and evaluating personnel, animals and equipment.
W.H.O.A. has access to leather workers, coaches, wagons, tack, historic resources, air assets, as well as veterinarian and farrier services throughout the state of Oregon. Our pool of local talent allows us to reduce the costs of travel, lodging and boarding expenses.
Oregon has a variety of landscape and terrain features that are user friendly for any film project and Local land use also precludes unnecessary, costly and time consuming environmental impact rules and regulations that inhibit successful projects often associated with state and federal lands.
